This is a full tang knife meaning the steel that forms the blade and handle, or ‘tang’ is visible the length of the knife, the wooden ‘scales’ part of the handle are glued and riveted to the tang. This little knife also has a stainless steel bolster where the blade transitions to the handle.

The steel is Nitro V heat treated to 59/60 HRC hardness.
Hard enough for excellent edge retention while still able to be maintained with a Honing Steel.
