Deeper blades allow the user to operate anywhere on the chopping board with out the fingers contacting the surface.

Deeper blades are perfect for rocking cuts with a slightly more curved cutting edge than the narrow blades. The broader blade also facilitates scooping up the garlic, herbs etc, with the blade.

Many people exist quite happily with a deep or narrow bladed knife as their favourite, it’s all personal.

This is a full tang knife, meaning the blade and tang are visibly continuous.

The timber on the handle is Pohutukawa.

The steel is CPM 154 hardened at 62 HRC giving very good edge retention but still allowing a Honing Steel to be used for edge maintenance.
